Cybercore Co., Ltd. (Head office: Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, CEO: Yoshihiro Tamaki), in collaboration with Odakyu Railway Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Shigeru Suzuki), has developed an algorithm to automatically detect and notify when passengers are between the yellow Braille block at the edge of the platform and the train, and when umbrellas or other objects are caught in the train after the platform door has closed.

In order to verify the effectiveness of this algorithm in an actual station environment, from 21 August (Wednesday) 2024 to around February 2025, a feasibility study will be conducted at platform 5 of Shin-Yurigaoka Station on the Odakyu Line, utilising image analysis AI technology to construct a system that will contribute to safety confirmation at the platform during train departure.
