Cybercore Co.,Ltd. (Headquarters: Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, President: Hideshi Abe, hereinafter referred to as “Cybercore”) is pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement to join Denki Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Tadato Kondo, hereinafter referred to as “DKK”) Group.
◆Building a strong partnership through “telecommunication × sensing × AI”
DKK launched the solution business as a new business field in April 2022, and in addition to the telecommunications business and high-frequency-related business, which have a track record of more than 70 years since its establishment, DKK will have a new business area that been working to expand *1. Among these efforts, DKK has been focusing on the field of AI in anticipation of future development. It is well known that the accuracy of all phenomena that have been judged and evaluated by the five human senses has dramatically improved with the advent of AI. Recalling a world where AI will become an indispensable part of our lives in the future, DKK have been promoting business development and search for partner companies in this field.
On the other hand, Cybercore is a pioneer in image AI and has specialized in image processing, image recognition, and artificial intelligence algorithm development since its establishment in 2007, and has high technological capabilities in the Computer Vision(CV) and image AI fields, including winning the category twice at the global CV conference CVPR. Cybercore have achieved good results with the social implementation of AI solutions as our management theme.
The two companies have already collaborated as solution providers, including the development of AI people flow and traffic analysis systems in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, and have built a strong partnership.
With this group participation, DKK will combine wireless communication technology that can handle all frequency bands and sensing technology centered on various cameras and sensors, which DKK has cultivated mainly through antenna manufacturing and design, with image AI and sensing AI technology cultivated by Cybercore. We believe that we have established a system to build a solution business that leverages the strengths of both companies more efficiently and energetically.
Under this system, we will contribute to society by being involved in solving various customer issues.
